  • Are you certified to teach?
    Monique is a certified Vocal Coach under the New York Vocal Coaching program.
  • Are music/video samples required?
    They are not required, but definitely optional!
  • What can I send to Diamond Vocal Coaching?
    You may share any music you produced, videos of yourself singing or lyrics you've written to Diamond Vocal Coaching. This will help us better understand what you need to improve!
  • Do I need to have Music/Vocal experience?
    While we love experienced musicians & vocalists, we believe that those without a music background also have the ability to sing! You do not need a music degree!
  • Do I need to have experience with instruments?
    Instruments are beautiful and very fun to use, but you do not need to own a grand piano in order to learn how to sing. However, if you do own an instrument and wish to play it along with your singing, go for it!
  • Is Music Theory essential?
    While Music Theory is beneficial to learning notes and scales, it is not essential to singing. We offer a workshop in Music Theory that goes over the basics. You can find it here.
  • What type of equipment/software do I need?
    We recommend a good pair of headphones and a microphone. You can use any app or software for voice/audio recording. Audacity is a great tool for recording audio!
